Candle Care: The Ritual of the Burn

To ensure your TimberLight Glow candle fills your space perfectly and burns cleanly to the very end, we recommend following these simple steps:

The First Burn is Everything.
Allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges of the jar on the first light.
This usually takes 2–3 hours and prevents "tunnelling," ensuring you get the full life out of your candle.

  • Trim Your Wick: Before every relight, trim the wick to about 5mm. This keeps the flame controlled, prevents soot from forming on the glass, and ensures a slower, more refined burn.

  • Time Your Glow: We recommend burning your candle for no more than 4 hours at a time. This prevents the glass from overheating and keeps the fragrance throw at its peak.

  • Safety First: Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from drafts, pets, children, and anything flammable. Always place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface.

  • Knowing When to Say Goodbye: Extinguish your candle when 10mm of wax remains at the bottom. This prevents the glass from getting too hot and protects your surfaces.
